Recruitment of two Research Technicians (Master’s degree) (employment contract, minimum 1year)
Allmicroalgae – Natural Products S. A. opens recruitment and selection competition for 2 Microalgae Researchers (M/F) vacancies for citizens of any nationality including stateless persons under an uncertain term contract, called Hiring Highly Qualified Human Resources.
Allmicroalgae’s Research Unit (UID) extends research support to the Microalgae Production Unit and actively participates in National and International Research Projects involving Microalgae. In its facilities, lab- to pilot-scale experiments are performed, to optimize culture conditions and develop microalgae growth technologies. Furthermore, cell bank maintenance, scale-up and analysis of microalgae cultures are performed on regular basis. This position aims to integrate new team members in the daily activities of the company, to grow, maintain, analyze, control and optimize microalgae cultures from inocula to industrial scale.

Eligibility criteria

Selection process
The evaluation is carried out in two stages.
Stage One: Curriculum Evaluation
The selection of the admitted candidates is made through the evaluation of the motivation letter that will indicate the most relevant activities, career development plan and the curriculum vitae that will include the candidate’s scientific and professional career.
Stage Two: Interview
If the jury deems it necessary for the evaluation, the best ranked candidates for the curriculum evaluation will proceed to the second phase, which will consist of an individual interview, either in person or via videoconference.
The decision of the jury will be communicated by email.

Skills/Qualifications
The candidates will be selected based on their previous experience and/or capability to fill the position. We are looking for someone with:
- Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or related fields;
- Know-how of microalgae handling, to prepare and maintain cultures and answer to their nutritional needs;
- Enthusiasm and pro-activity to learn bioreactor operation and maintenance;
- Problem-solving, analytical skills and strong work ethics, to analyze biochemical parameters, culture quality and growth performance;
- English communication skills
- Motivation and good interpersonal skills
